National stakeholder dialogue workshop: Promoting better environmental performance of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs)

The purpose of the meeting was to strengthen government policies to promote voluntary environmental compliance and green business practices in SMEs in Azerbaijan, and to stimulate government-to-business and business-to-business dialogue on the benefits of sustainable production in Azerbaijan. The SME Greening Toolkit will be presented, followed by discussions on current policies to support green business practices as well as the current environmental regulation of low-risk facilities in the country. This workshop was held back-to-back to the national stakeholder dialogue workshop related to “Economic instruments for managing environmentally harmful products in Azerbaijan" scheduled for 21 May 2015 starting at 14h.
