Sustainable public procurement
The combined approach of sustainable public procurement (SPP) and eco-labelling are important elements of promoting the production and purchasing of more sustainable products. In the transition to a green economy, these tools are playing an important enabling role in the overall market transformation. EaP GREEN assists countries in developing and implementing SPP policies through: raising awareness and building capacity among policy-makers and heads of procurement in partner countries; and providing technical support to pilot countries including the design of national SPP action plans.
